Hello guys . I'm back in replying. Well, I still don't have the free up-to-date Ubuntu cd yet or won't get it for about the next 3 or 4 weeks. So, today I got some new cd-r discs. Now before I try & burn it myself, I need to know what you suggest for options in making sure that the cd is done in best care for working. Here is the specs on the 5 cd-r package:

    Memorex

    5 Pack
    Cool Colors
    CD-R

    56x
    700MB
    80min
    Thanks & God bless .

Hello. Well, I did go ahead & burn the Ubuntu ISO to the cd-r disk with the software ISO Burner with speed 1x & it, for the first time since other cd-rs & Ubuntu versions I tried, actually worked ! I thank the Lord for His help & answer to prayer. I also did it on a fairly newly operative desktop computer I got as a gift. So, now it works, but, question: What now? I'm very new to the Ubuntu OS & I want to get familiar with it. I will be looking on the web & Ubuntu help sites such as this one. But if you can help, that would be much appreciated. Take care & God bless .
