Hey guys, if KDE was slow for you, I know why. It's Kwin. If you replace Kwin with Compiz Fusion it's literally 20x faster, even faster then Gnome. I hope someone out there takes my advice.

Todays setup.

Another Conky album art display thingie... It draws the album art, creates the reflection, adds artist and pops down a reflection for that.

I think I need to stop making the album art displays and do something else for a bit

**** it, installed Banshee. Got tired of feature incompleteness. Any qt-based music player that is complete?

I believe that amarok is a good deal more complete than banshee. Normally you hear about gtk users complaining about the lack of decent media players.

amarok 2.0 is missing way too much stuff no daap,no ipod,no network samba
