    Unhappy High disk temperature

    Hello.
    I have problem with my HD in laptop.
    This is Western Digital 160 GB 2.5", when i work in windows disk temperature is about 40 C in Ubuntu is about 48 C (i make almost the same thing in Windows and Ubuntu).
    Somebody know: how can i lower disk temperature ?

    Your laptop may be putting some stuff into the SWAP memory, I think someone posted a guide on here to modify something like "swapiness" but I am not sure. Try looking in the area of SWAP usage, as using the hard drive makes heat, and the way to reduce heat, is to reduce work
