    Raid?

This is likely an old topic, but I want a current answer...

Is RAID 0 very stable with today's hardware?

Is it worth it to do a RAID 0+1?

Is RAID 0 1.5x-2x faster than a single disk?

I am debating on doing a RAID setup, but I don't know if it's worth it... let me know your thoughts.

    Re: Raid?

yes, its stable with todays hardware, but remember that hard drives are mechines with moving parts. They WILL fail eventually. Thus, if you're going stripping only, don't keep any critical data on it.

Stripping will give you 1.5 to 2X performance boots when using hardware controllers.
