    Panel autohide bug

It appears this has beena long-standing bug in xfce4-panel.

Using autohide, it sometimes decides to remain visible, on top of open windows.

    This was an interesting "solution"

Essentially, create a panel launcher with command to restart the panel!
    Code:
    xfce4-panel -r

    Re: Panel autohide bug

Is there any sort of permanent fix for this? It's a really irritating bug hat I've been experiencing since first using Xubuntu. I've even tried straight Ubuntu with XFCE and still experience the same bug.

Apparently, this has been going on for quite some time with other users. Google yields nothing but more people puzzled by this bug.

XFCE's official page says that this bug (or a related one) is squashed.

    Many thanks!
