    Question Installation from within windows?

IS there a way to run an installation from within windows (Basically, I cant boot from USB but I can install within windows) can I then run the installation within windows and format/delete the windows install and run only Ubuntu on the machine?

Actually, I have a different problem now, likely related. I installed within windows using the Wubi installer, and when I was given the option to choose OS at bootup, I chose Ubuntu, and it is not booting. The screen is black with just a single blinking cursor at the upper left.

Ok, so I am finding a problem here. I downloaded the 386 iso and have tried to burn it to CD 2 times and once to DVD, each time the checksum is different after burning. (I check the checksum before burning and its fine, but once I burn it, it is different)

What on earth is happening here?
