"Could not grab your mouse" Error

I was downloading some updates earlier and an error popped up saying:

    Could not grab you mouse.

A malicious client may be eavesdropping on your session or you may have just clicked a menu or some application just decided to get focus.

    Try again
    See attachment for a screenshot.

Should I be worried? I quickly Googled it and some sites say it's just a bug with the update manager, but I don't want to risk being hacked etc.

Is this safe to ignore, and if not what do I do? I'm using Ubuntu 9.04.

Were you launching the Update Manager like Synaptic? I've only encountered the program if I've moved the mouse around as it is launching.

I launched it from the update icon in the notification area/tray, and then clicked back to Firefox after setting it running.

Does this happen often? If it only happened once I wouldn't worry about it, it's happened to me before too.

I want to know about this! My mouse keeps CLICKING, all the time. I turned off touchpad clicking and it's still doing it.

I just tried to update, in case that would solve whatever the problem is.. then I got this message saying "Could not grab your mouse."

    Anybody solved this one?

I got the same problem using a RAT3 mouse, but it works with a less sophisticated one, so I guess I also could be a driver issue. Try a couple of them before.
