How to download audio driver

Obviously, I cannot hear anything out of my PC. I've lived without sound for long enough and I have absolutely no idea how to get it to work.

here are my specs

Operating System	Linux 9.04

Processor		Intel Celeron M Processor 370
			Operates at 1.5 GHz, 1 MB L2 Cache
			and 400 MHz FSB

Screen			14" Widescreen Ultrabright WXGA TFT

Memory			512 MB DDR2

Video			S3 Graphics UniChrome Pro IGP
			As much as 64 MB shared VRAM

Hard Drive		60 GB HDD, 4200 RPM

Optical Drive		DVD +/- RW Multi-Format Double Layer

Media Reader		4-in-1
			Secure Digital (SD), Memory Stick,
			Memory Stick Pro, Multimedia Card

If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it


I have one more question that isn't essential to getting answered but I would like it to be fixed.. Why do I see this picture when there is a video and is there a way of getting rid of it?

1.) Have you tried going to System -> Administration -> Hardware Drivers and letting it look for its self?

2.) Have you tried searching the internet for you type of sound cards driver for linux?
ex. Serach: your_video_card driver ubuntu

yes and no.

Yeah dude google for your audio driver. All you need to get it to work is the driver, and you have to get the driver some how. So either find it on the internet, or off a cd it came with. Other than that you could ask who ever makes the computer you're using to send you the file. You just have to get it some way, and that requires effort.

Is your computer manufactured by say Dell or HP or one of those big corporations? (if you didn't build it yourself or some one else didn't build it for you then it is).

it was made by Gateway

Ok. Try calling GateWay and asking them to e-mail you the driver you need. It's worked for me before

screw that. just wrap the windows driver.
