Hi,

I recently did a clean install of Ubuntu 9.04 64bit on my machine. For the first couple weeks everything was fine, however, over the past few weeks, I have been noticing an issue with my mouse. After being on the computer for about 30 minutes, my mouse does not work - it just freezes! I have to then use the keyboard to restart the computer - after which the mouse seems to work again. Last night, I was using my external hard drive and was connected using the firewire port. Again, for about 30 minutes, everything was fine, then the computer froze, this time I am not sure what happened. I have tried plugging the mouse in a different USB port, but same result.

All hardware has worked in the past - I have been using Ubuntu for the past 3 years now, with no major issues.

I have the following configuration -

OS - Ubuntu 9.04 64bit
Motherboard - Asus M3N78 Pro

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
DB
