With any rom, The sound is horrible, it cracks and buzzes and is very glitchy and choppy, and causes the rom itself to slow down considerably, but If I set the screen resolution to normal, everything runs very smooth, but the screen is only 2 inches tall on normal resolution. I'm running xubuntu 8.10 on a laptop with a 1.7G single core processor and 1G of RAM, also whenever I have Gens open, My CPU load shoots up to %100 percent. I've tried DGEN, and it works fine, but DGEN has no options for high quality rendering, and the games look much more pixilated than on my real genesis system.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
