    Display Problems

I've been having desktop problems ever since I installed compiz. Now, AWN won't run. I get a "screen not composited" error whenever I try to run it. Also, when I boot, my desktop flashes weird colors. It's really driving me nuts. I must have toggled a setting. Before, I would be able to enable "Extra" desktop effects with the snapping and wobbly windows. AWN would work fine there. Now, it says that desktop effects could not be enabled. Can anyone help?

Sounds like you lost your display drivers - try re-installing the drivers for your graphics card.

What graphics card do you have?

This is kind of a dumb question but...how would you find out what kind of graphics card you have? If this would help, I have a Dell Inspiron E1505.

Here is a link to the manual.

DELL uses different parts through the production life of each model so you should go to this link and enter your service tag for your graphics info.
