    F-Spot progress?

    Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone knows whether any progress is being made with F-Spot? I noticed that the last stable release was last October and after peaking at the mailing list it doesn't look like much is getting done. As the current release is pretty sub-standard (especially compared to what's available on other platforms) I was really hoping there would be another major release before Karmic hits.

F-Spot also has had the second largest number of commits (after GTK+) among GNOME-related projects last week:

I hope they make a release soon - and fix the bug that doesn't tag photos when importing them

Phew! That's good to know, hopefully a new stable release will be out in time for Karmic!

    F-Spot still exists?

Have you ever found something in the second-to-last place you looked?
If it seems like I am ignoring you, perhaps I am.

I switched to Solang which is still very immature, but is being developed very actively and at least it doesn't want to move all my photos to a different location.

That does look pretty promising, I'll be keeping an eye on it, thanks for pointing it out!
