Lightbulb Remote Restart an Ubuntu Machine, without SSH

I am trying to remotely restart an Ubuntu machine over my Local Network.

I know how to do this via SSH, however my openssh-server is hung and no-responsive. So is there any other option besides having to physically being at the terminal to restart the machine? or are there any clever alternatives?

    Thanks all,

    Jim
