After a recent update to my 9.04 install, I found that my sound settings had changed rather dramatically (instead of 44% for the lowest "hearable" volume setting, I had to ratchet up to 68%).

Also (and more disconcerting), I found that the behavior of the up/down arrow keys had changed drastically. Before, the down arrow had given me a steady, one-line-at-a-time, downward scroll - now, it jumps to the bottom of whatever document / page I'm trying to read. The same applies in reverse for the up arrow key. I've tried tinkering with the Keyboard settings (via the GUI) but haven't been able to fix it.

Has anybody else seen either of these behaviors? If so, any suggestions? (My hardware, BTW, is a Dell Inspiron 1505n with a BTC 6200C external keyboard.)

Thanks,

Mark
