How to setup a webcam server using webcam-server (Includes daemon script)

Does this webcam server work on a server and can take input from say a laptop?

Not positive, but maybe. I think that the webcam has to be on the local machine though.

I think webcam-server needs to be updated to be compatible with videodev2.h, which is supplied with the current en future kernels. Videodev.h seems to be obsolete.
