    Question Converting flac to mp3.

I needed to convert some music so my iphone could play it. I used soundKonverter, which is a kde app. It all went smooth during the conversion, but, for some odd reason, my iphone wouldn't play it. I converted it to a 320kb mp3 and I tried to play it both on dTunes and pwnplayer. They just sort of skip the songs.

If you want a GUI app, I'd recommend Audacity. It's in the repositories. Simply open the FLAC file, and export as MP3.

It gives you good control over the mp3 parameters, and is a great editor as well, should you be interested.

To steal some PR from the Audacity homepage:

Audacity has been chosen as "Favorite Audio Tool" in Linux Journal's 2009 Readers' Choice Awards.
