Hello there,

I'm having some issues making mediatomb read divx files. The files themselves have been converted using the official Divx converter on my Vista machine. Then the files are copied over to my laptop which runs ubuntu 9.0.4 and mediatomb 0.11.0-ubuntu2. My PS3 runs on FW 2.76 and Divx VOD is enabled on it.

I've already looked through this thread, but didn't find anything.

Now, when I copy the files in question to an USB stick and put this into the PS3 they play just fine. Checking the same files on mediatomb server via the PS3, I get unsupported data icons as far as the eye can see. Also I'm unable to copy them directly, since that gives me the "There are no titles that can be copied" error.

I've looked around on the forums, as I've mentioned and elsewhere on the net. It all boils down to editing the config file. But even after fooling around with it for a while, it still doesn't help. In the end I took a clean reinstall of mediatomb, just to get back to the default config file.

Before I started fooling around with it again, I made sure to make a copy of the original.

The files have Divx 1.0 Mbps video codec and Mp3 128 kbps audio codec.

Below you can see the config file as it is:

So what the files themselves plays fine on the PS3 directly and on ubunbtu and Vista directly, but not on the PS3 via mediatomb.
