    Hover effects distract attention

    This has probably been asked before but my awesome google-fu powers seem to have failed me at the moment. If there is a post, please redirect me.

    I find the hover effect for threads and users distracting. These are the effects that popup when you hover over threads that give the first couple sentences of a post. They tend to take my eye off what I'm trying to read getting me thinking that some type of warning is popping up. I looked in the options but can find no option to disable them there, perhaps I missed it? Is there a way to disable topic popups?

    Hi - there was another thread a while back - this works I just tried it out.

    browser.chrome.toolbar_tips false works for Firefox. It applies instantly so can be toggled on/off.

    Ah, ok... it's built into vbulletin. That sucks. Not really a good thought IMHO but... I'll just disable the tool tips then and see if it effects my web browsing much.

    I've knocked up a greasemonkey script that knocks the title tags out of the td's on the forum if you'd like it.

    Nice one just looks like a minor correction.
    PHP Code:
    // @include        http:www//ubuntuforums.org/*
    Should be?

    It wasn't a schoolboy error it was a sync issue in the uploading to the server some of the bytes got switched around in a freak thunderstorm and some mars gas collided with Moons light and that is why you saw what you did.
