    Adding a remote control

Because I've got a large monitor and decent sound system i sit back from the computer. i was wondering if it's possible to integrate a remote control to control playback/volume...i've seen them for HP computers but have no knowledge of such a device for anything else. do they exist and are they easy to install?

    Re: Adding a remote control

I use a remote and is freaking great. I can even control the compiz cube to check my downloads while playing videos on fullscreen

Remote setup experience varies. I had a hard time trying to make it work, but now is a piece of cake. Since you don't have a remote yet, I would recommend searching for one that it is easy to configure. Unfortunately, I can't help you with that.

There are several tutorials in the forums. You might want to check the lirc manuals to help configure it.

so what's a good small-ish remote with volume and playback controlls? I almost always use VLC for my media, and songbird for my music.
