How to attach a WWW. address to DIY server?

    Hello!

In the near future I am building a server for my own website, and I have been reading up on How to build a server, but How do I actually attach a WWW. address to a DIY server?

I have searched the forum for similar threads, but did not see any, so if this is a duplicate please IM me with the link to an original.

    Many thanks,
    Ubu.

    Thats Right!

Im still reading up on this whole topic so I can build the server when I move house in a few weeks.

My goal is to build a simple LAMP server, and then get my own WWW address forwarded to my server.

    Thanks for your reply.
    All the best,
    Ubu
