    kill disk equivallent

    hey guys,

    i just wanted to know if there was a linux equivallent for killdisk...i need to wipe my drives and i saw that killdisk was for windows and im on ubuntu, or at least what i saw...can someone point me toward a linux equivallent for this program?

    run "dd if=/dev/random of=/dev/ur_drive" a few times, that will over write any data on the drive with randomness
    There is an easy way, and a hard way to do things.
    If you're anything like me, you've tried to do things things the hard way,

    I have downloaded killdisk and dban in iso files and burned to CD to boot from and run.
