Images stretched out and blurry on Firefox

Hello,

I have a 20 inch widescreen dell moniter and when i first installed ubuntu everything was very small so I changed the resolution to 1024x768 (4:3) same as my windows partition and everything looks fine on there but im not sure if windows also has it (4:3), anyways all my images on firefox are not really s t r e t c h e d out in that sense but they are blurry like when you try to enlarge an image on paint or w/e and it looks worse. How do I fix this? I haven't tried on any other browser and besides I don't want to drop firefox.

When I zoom out it appears much better. Could it be it is zooming in for me?

try logging in as a guest account. this will start up firefox with all default settings. You'll soon find out if it is something in firefox...
