HP Laserjet 3380 - Long delay between pages

    Hello everybody!

I was impressed by the ability of jaunty to detect all available network printers in my office (via system -> management -> printers -> new) . I've chosen the Laserjet 3380, and it was set up. the printer is connected directly to the network.

when i try to print a pdf for example, it prints a page in normal speed, but there is a delay of several minutes between pages.

    The printer URI is: hp:/net/hp_LaserJet_3380?ip=139.30.204.37

I tried to change to the AppSocket protocol by using a different connection setting in the printer properties (139.30.204.37:9100). I just did another test: with appsocket, the first few pages have only a small delay of some seconds between them. page six needed at least a minute to start printing.

Does anybody have the same problem? Thanks for help
