MBP boot Jaunty from EFI

Hi, I've been trying to get my MBP(5,1) to tun ubuntu, and thanks to the mactel wiki everything works except reboot. BUT since I am booting via refit and thus cant use the lowend graphics card, the highend card kicks in instead, which causes a lot of heat and lessens the time of the battery.. Now I cant find a single dumbDown guide on how to boot from grub2/grub-efi. Has anybody succesfully done this, AND been able to use the lowend graphics card?

But this wouldnt give me 3D-acceleration because of FAPPels implementation of EFI.. any clues on how this is developing?

As far as I know, nobody has gotten the GPU switching to work yet.
