    Exclamation Mouse Problems in Ubuntu

    I installed ubuntu as my complete OS the other day and everything works great, except the mouse. Whenever a window pops up and a field is focuses, I lose control of the mouse. I can still move the mouse but clicking does not do anything. I have to navigate through the panes with the keyboard, which gets really frustrating on the internet. Is there a way to fix this?

    I am running a toshiba laptop with a touch pad that has the same problems as the mouse.

    Hi wjustis, I see that you posted your message four weeks ago. Have you found a solution to the problem, or are you still experiencing this issue?

    Are you running a serial mouse or a USB mouse? If serial, you might want to look here:
