    Question ksmserver error

    I am uinsg 9.04 with the KDE 4.2.3. I went to use Kate to edit menu.lst using sudo kate /boot/grub/menu.lst from inside a terminal, As soon as it opened, an xmessage appeared saying there was an issue with ksmserver and to check my installation. What can I do?

    same here, consistently every time I open kate with sudo...

    and when I press OK, I simply get logged out to the initialization screen....
