My NTFS drive won't mount, I either get the
" DBus error org.gtk.Private.RemoteVolumeMonitor.Failed: An operation is already pending"
or the
" You are not privileged to mount this drive "
The icon exists in the Computer section of the File Browser, and it recognises and has mounted my Windows XP ntfs drive, but refuses to mount this one
I only created this setup within the past 24 hours, installing XP home in the first partition, Ubuntu in the second, a Swap partition, and the remaining 200gb in another ntfs partition for media, etc.
Is there any way to fix this?
Or
Are there any file systems that both OSes will read/write to natively?
EDIT:
This is what I'm trying in Terminal... is it the correct code?

NTFS is either inconsistent, or there is a hardware fault, or it's a
SoftRAID/FakeRAID hardware. In the first case run chkdsk /f on Windows
then reboot into Windows twice. The usage of the /f parameter is very
important! If the device is a SoftRAID/FakeRAID then first activate
it and mount a different device under the /dev/mapper/ directory, (e.g.
/dev/mapper/nvidia_eahaabcc1). Please see the 'dmraid' documentation
for more details.
