Connectivity : Pidgin XChat Disconnect frequently.

Hi ,
Im using Jaunty x86_64 , I did a fresh install yesterday and since then have been having problems with Pidgin and XChat. They tend to keep getting disconnected at random , It's a pain in the rear. Firefox seems to be not affected by this issue. I dont really know anything about this so i didnt provide a config file/command output etc , but i'll do so if needed..

Correction : Firefox is affected as well , Was just downloading something while posting this and now its stuck at 20%..

Do you use plugins (pidgin) as otrs? This plugin can break your pidgin connection.
(But is seems a more general problem...)

I'm not really using any extra plugins..Its just the default install...And since its affecting XChat/Pidgin as well , i dont really think its Pidgin eXclusive..

Well , It's been a long time since I've been having this problem , So i thought that maybe adding a Static IP might help with all the DNS Servers etc , Ill get back if it works/doesnt work
