Sounds like your page isn't loading fully. Try refreshing a few times, and if you are using a proxy, try connecting without it.

Are you using any kind of script blocker? For example, I use Firefox and have NoScript installed. I have the same problems you described unless I allow yahooapis.com to run scripts.

Do you have "NoScript" or something like that activated? Those features need browser scripting features to be turned on.

I don't understand what yahooapis.com has to do with vbulletin running on ubuntuforums.org servers, but that might just be me. >_>
