Kubuntu Effects Screwed Up My PC

My Kubuntu 9.04 has been running smoothly so far, however today I changed the settings for translucency.
I just changed the values.
Now I only get the half screen. It has dropped down to bottom. I cannot click things in the bottom half.
I get the entire screen when I used the alt+tab for cover flip.
Please help.
I have installed it using wubi.

Have you tried reconfiguring xorg?
