    More Info:

When the keyboard and stuff stops working, the login screen doesn't seem to be actually frozen. Also, the USB mouse is getting power, so its probably not a problem between Ubuntu and USB port?

    SCRATCH THAT

While the USB Mouse IS getting power, the built in keyboard doesn't see to respond to ANYTHING, including pressing the Caps Lock button (which has it's own built in light on the key).

But the Login Screen itself is definitely NOT frozen.

    Ok. even more info:

I was able to boot into a recovery console, everything worked fine.

UNTIL I started X, then it loaded a desktop partially, and then hung up again, no keyboard, no mouse.

Power button is the ONLY key that works.

I'm going to try another install.

Running the installer now, mouse/keyboard work 100% fine in installer. I really don;t know why they stop working after installation.
