Hello all,
Before I start a new project, I wanted to check in to see if one already exists.
I am looking for (or going to write) a tool/app that implements play lists such that intro and outro fade duration, crossfade duration, start pos, end pos, volume, can all be specified on a per song/track basis ahead of time or in real time (scriptability should be endless).
Googling netted me this cool tool http://www.n-gon.com/HighPriest/ (HighPriest) that seems to have all the features I want, but development seems to have stopped and there is no support for the newer packages for use with ubuntu 9.04 such as audacious for example. I also experimented with using the audacious-crossfade plugin (not supported) that might be a port from the old xmms-crossfade plugin, but it causes my audacious to segfault right off so I removed it. HighPries doesn't work except with xmms and installing this old xmms ware involves a laborious downgrade of C libraries and the like, and I would rather not depend on depricated wares.
Does something like HighPriest exist in this new age?
Thanks for stopping by.
