Doing in Hardy what is done in Jaunty. Possible?

    Hello, everyone.

So, in Jaunty, there is, on the far right of the Applications/Places/System panel the opportunity to add your name. (See first attached screenshot.)

In Hardy, I'd like to find a way to add the same thing, even if I had to write a script for it, however I am stuck with the second screenshot.

    Any suggestions?

You could just right click on the panel -> select Add to Panel -> select User Switcher.
