I have been reading the Programming Guide, it is very interesting.

There may be some overlap in philosophy with Erlang (although I only glanced at the Axum docs). Erlang is a lot more anarchic and not tied to any particular platform, nor does it have an IDE (as far as I know). Also, it is nowhere near being close in syntax to Java/C#.
