Epiphany is an underrated classic. xjump too.
While the "best" games are often the ones you see on the top 10s i.e. Wesnoth, BZFlag, Open Arena, Arena this and that, arena shoot shoot, etc. they don't seem to match the simplified fun of early Linux games*.
*ones that aren't dead in development and are mature since their final release. Of course I'd still like to see sabre finished since its nearly 10-year hiatus
