    Question Dynex sireless usb issues

Hey. I have a Dynex DX-EBUSB wireless adapter and a dell optiplex g270 running xubuntu. The only problem is that I cannot get the wireless to work. After some toruble, I found the .inf and .sys files and installed the driver with ndiswrapper. Ndiswrapper lists it as driver installed and hardware present, but nothing else on the computer recodnizes it. when I run the command ndiswrapper -m it says that "All configuration files must be in .conf format and will be ignored next restart" After restart, ndiswrapper "sees" the adapter but no lights come on and I can't connect to wireless. What am I doing wrong?
