Re: Cannot install on new laptop

On it now as I type. Had to delete my network, then connect as if it was the first time, and it asked for the password several times, and finally connected. Late now and have to work in the morning, but I'll poke around tomorrow night and see if I can retrieve some settings in here and post them. This is a new computer and a fresh install of 9.04. Tried 7.10 on up and this is the only one that would install. Thanks for all your help, and I'll be back on tomorrow night.

Try searching here and on Google for 802.11n and Ubuntu. It seems to be problematic.

About to fire it up again, after work here, let's see if it connects again now. It was working perfectly last night, except no connection to my wd netcenter and the other network drives with that, (and the laser printer shared thru it) but I think I saw something somewhere that I had to get another program installed to connect to a windows network. I'll post results in a bit.
