Wacom tablet doesn't work after hibarnation or suspend

Hello, I am using Wacom Graphire4 tablet on Ubuntu 9.04. Everything works fine, pressure sensitivity in Gimp works exactly how it is supposed to. But... When the computer wakes up from the hibernation or the suspend, the cursor doesn't respond (it just stays in the previous position). Restarting the X server doesn't help; the only way I found to solve it is to reboot the whole system, which is really uncomfortable.

have you tried unpluging and repluging the tablet after resuming?
