    Looking for music app.

Hello Im currently using Songbird to stream SHOUTcast INTERNET radio
but the software has no EQ, so if anyone knows of a alternative that has a EQ built in or as a plugin i would appreciate it. Also I have a Xfi fatality sound card which supports an EQ the sound card is working with the 1.0 driver from creative for linux, but what about the GUI is there a Linux GUI available

I think you`d like amarok, but you should try the 1.4 version

I am using Rythembox right now just because I did not want to download the old version of Amarok (I am lazy). But +1 for amarok. But the new one sucks. Get the old one.

For just music, I like Rhythmbox (as opposed to a full media player, which I use Banshee for).

    Re: Looking for music app.

I personally think that using MPD is the best music player. I use EasyTag to tag and organize my music, and Sonata as an MPD frontend, and it's the most elegant sollution I've ever used. It's true that with all things considered, the simplest way is often the best.

But if you're looking for EQ, MPD doens't have it. I'd check to see if RhythmnBox is for you, and if not you're probably going to have to try a classic version of Amarok.
The Windows/Linux/OS X holy wars are pointless. Use what you like. It's just an operating system on a computer. Seriously.
