I am looking to upgrade my motherboard in the next three months, and will be looking into buying a UEFI based motherboard. The thinking here is that I will be using a 64-bit processor (Core 2 Duo or better) and don't want to deal with the 2.2TB limit on hard drives. I also don't want to be replacing my motherboard within a year of purchasing it.
For this reason, does anyone know what the current state of EFI/UEFI support is in Ubuntu? I know the existence of ELILO and rEFIt , though I don't whether they are the only necessary parts for getting Ubuntu working on this hardware, and whether they are already part of Ubuntu?
