Question AWN for Jaunty 9.04

Hello!

I have been trying to install Avant Windows Navigator for Jaunty, but it won't accept Hardy's source.

and it gives "Broken Package" in the terminal when i want to install it.

Any Idea?

Re: AWN for Jaunty 9.04

If you want to install AWN do this:
  1. Type this in the terminal:
    Code:
    sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
    And enter your password.
  2. Than add and to the list and save it.
  3. And now just enter
    Code:
    sudo apt-get update
    and
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install avant-window-navigator-trunk awn-manager-trunk awn-extras-applets-trunk
And your done.

But if you want to install Cairo-Dock than do this:
  1. Go to this page and download the latest (probably stable) .deb files.
  2. First run the cairo-dock_v...... file and then the cairo-dock-plug-ins...... file and install them.
And your done (again).

use synaptic... worked for me! just search for awn (click on the search button, don't do a quick search), and it should have all the core packages and extras.

try Cairo-Dock, it's a real MacOS-like dock.
