    New Router = Weird Samba Issues

    I just got a new router (D-Link DIR-628 ), and now am having SAMBA issues. I am still on 8.10.

    Symptoms:
    -samba drive won't mount on wireless computers
    -network comps are not seen on wireless but are seen on wired
    -ssh works
    -ftp works
    -cups works
    -opening nautilus and typing smb://192.168.1.2 works
    -clicking on workgroup results in "Unable to mount location Failed to retrieve shared list from server."

    Seeing as you are using a rotuer with a builtin fire wall, do you need an internal firewall? If it was me I'd clear all the iptables rules.

    iptables is set to accept everything, so.. Maybe I am wrong about that. Anyway, it shouldn't be iptables anyway, since it use to work just fine.

    Please, someone at least try and help me figure this out. I don't care if you have an actual solution or just an idea.
