    Use for old PowerMac 8500/120

I have an old PowerMac 8500/120 running 2 hard drives: 1@4.3GB with MacOS 9.2.2 installed, 1@1.4GB with MacOS 8.6 installed.

Question: Can I install Ubuntu on a Mac of this vintage (Summer, 1995)? If so, what version? And, is that version still available for download?

By the way, the 8500/120 is a PowePC 604 processor running at 120 MHz.

I'd like to have some use for this old Mac, and this seems like a worthwhile learning opportunity.

    Many thanks.
