Suspend in Jaunty Longer to boot

I noticed that Jaunty changed the behavior of suspend. Before it took about four seconds. Now with a suspend coming back I see the BIOS and it actually takes longer to show the desktop than if I was to boot from scratch. Anyone know how if this is something I'm doing wrong or if this is the new default behavior?
