    G4 Powermac Strange Eject problem

Ive just installed Jaunty on an Apple G4 and everything is almost fine

The one problem is the CD drive, when I eject the drive it opens and then closes straight away without locking open, is this a software problem?

    Thanks

I've seen this fairly commonly on G4 Tower/QuickSilvers. It appears to me to happen less frequently when I use an eject command from a menu rather than the keyboard eject button. I'm unaware of any software fix for it.

What happens if you type in a terminal
    Code:
    eject
    eject -t

sorry for the delay in replying, if i type eject in the terminal the drive ejects and stays open and eject -t closes the drive.
