Network Manager woud not work with Sprint Blackberry Curve

I have Xubuntu Jaunty Jackelope 9.04 installed on Dell Latitude CSX-H 500mhz laptop.

I am having difficulty on getting Sprint Blackberry Curve as modem using Network Manager. In Network Manager--Preference--Mobile Broadband, I saw list of Cellular providers included Sprint. I thought that I wouldn't have to install XMberry or Berry4All softwares. I saw dial '777' which is correct but I am unable to get BB Curve tether to Xubuntu using USB. It seem that it couldn't reconize BB's USB,

Basically, I just want to plug in BB Curve and log in net quickly.

My USB WiFi adapter which have Zydas 1211 chipset recognized by Xubuntu automatically and it works out of box.. I was able to connect to WiFi router and log in net easily.

Not the Blackberry Curve Phone As Modem!! Grrr

    Am I missing something??

    Can anyone help? Suggestions?

    Thanks
    Catty
