exit\maximize\minimize menu is gone

Ive lost the exit\maximize\minimize buttons and line from my windows when they are maximized.

I got this problem when i tested the netbook remix interface.

Everything worked fine except from this problem.

Have now removed netbook remix, but cant find any settings to enable the line.

Try changing the desktop theme. A certain desktop theme can cause what you describe.
(System -> Preferences -> Appearance)
