gnome-do (docky) works, except key shortcut does not do as it should

I installed jaunty a few days ago, and am really liking docky.
Got it all set up, and it's pretty damn awesome, except for one thing.
The only way to get it to search, is to click on the little "do" icon on the left of the dock. winkey+space does not open the "type here to begin searching" feature.
I am using gnome-do 0.8.1.3, and am happy to supply any other information necessary
    any help is appreciated

    thanks.

(is this the latest version of gnome do?)

I mean under system > preferences > hotkeys, if there's something else (like the main menu) assigned to <super>, then any other hotkey using super (like <super>+<space>) won't work.
