Ubuntu keeps rebooting after 9.04 upgrade

Upgrade went fine but Ubuntu keeps rebooting about 20 seconds after the login screen is shown. I've checked all the files in /var/log but can't find a trace of it.

Ubuntu doesn't reboot if I choose the recovery menu and pick netroot but does reboot if I choose xfix. Memory test came out clean.

Any suggestions on how to track this one down? Is there a log I should check or some kind of diagnostic I could run?

Re: Ubuntu keeps rebooting after 9.04 upgrade

i'm having the same problems here after upgrading an install inside parallels vm.
i log in and it seems fine for a second then it kicks me back out to the login screen. i can't see any errors and i even tried using failsafe gnome session.
anyone have any idea whats going on?

nevermind seems to be an issue with parallels vm ... works fine in vmwarefusion as well as virtualbox.
