From what I see when I google "grub error 2", error two means selected disk doesn't exist.

I have had to fix grub a few times when windows XP made updates and tried to take things over. Perhaps you have the wrong partition selected in grub. You may have to edit the file /boot/grub/menu.lst

    Re: grub error 2

The two commands you are looking for is
    Code:
    fixboot
    and
    Code:
    fixmbr
if your bootloader has been altered. However, I'm not sure I understand you question. Both can be accessed from your windows xp cd recovery console.

But first you gonna do this first :

    Code:
    sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst
and check out if your entry for windows is correct. Is it pointing to the good partition?

Remember this: Windows likes to be on top. That means, it likes to be the first OS installed on a system and likes to be the first partition of the disk (ex: sda1). If that's not the case, you might wanna fix that first.

    Re: grub error 2

When i try to boot in windows i receiving this:

Error 13 invalid or unsupported executable format

I can boot normally in ubuntu. When i boot in ubuntu it shows me ubuntu (hd0,0) but in the /boot/grub/menu.lst it shows that the windows has root (hd0,0) and the linux (hd0,1).

From a Ubuntu shell (Terminal) type
    Code:
    sudo fdisk -l
    and post the output here.
